Infographic: Anderson Silva was dominated by Chris Weidman before the injury

The highly anticipated rematch between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva at UFC 168, an event held last Saturday (28) in Las Vegas, ended in a way that no one expected. After attempting a kick inside the American's leg, the Brazilian athlete ended up fracturing his leg with the champion's defense. If the injury hadn't happened, the outcome of the fight was unpredictable, despite Weidman dominating the fight until the moment of the injury.

According to the numbers from the duel, Weidman landed more blows, 34 against 32. The difference becomes more evident when compared with significant blows: 20 to 8.

On the other hand, despite the injury shortly after the first minute, it was Anderson who took the initiative in the second round. The Spider attempted eight blows, two of which were significant, while Chris only hit the former champion once in a forceful way.
