After announcing his return to MMA after more than four years away from the sport, Miesha Tate He doesn’t just want to compete. With a fight scheduled for July 17, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) is already dreaming of a possible rematch against Amanda nunes, for those who lost the title in 2016. In an interview with 'MMA on SiriusXM', The 'Cupcake' showed respect for the Brazilian's achievements, but stated that she could shock the world in a reunion with the 'Lioness'.

“I would love to do the rematch. I would like to face her (Amanda), because I know I have the style to beat her. I'm not going to take anything away from her. She's a scary woman, she hits like a man and I know that. I shared the octagon with her and have followed what she has done since then. I have plans, goals and I am someone who, when pushed, makes things happen,” said Tate.
In her quest to regain her status as a challenger for the division title, Miesha has an appointment against Marion Reneau. If she overcomes the veteran, the former champion will automatically return to the elite of the category, which has been dominated by Nunes since UFC 200.
When they met more than four years ago, Tate was looking to achieve his first title defense. Months before, the 'Cupcake' had overcome Holly holm and won his first belt in Ultimate.
