Champion and challenger, Mousasi and Vanderford make weight and confirm title fight at Bellator 275

Stars of this Friday's event fulfill their commitment to the scales and confirm fight for the middleweight title; only one failure marked the measurements

Everything is fine for the main fight of the Bellator 275, which takes place this Friday (25), in Dublin (IRL), valid for the middleweight title (up to 83,9kg.). At the official weigh-in for the event, held this Thursday (24), the champion, Gegard Mousasi, and the challenger, Austin vanderford, fulfilled their commitment to the scale and guaranteed the leading role in the show. Among the 26 athletes selected for the event, only Jamie Hay failed in the process.

In his second Bellator reign, Mousasi is ready to attempt his second title defense. For this Friday's commitment, the veteran guaranteed 83,7kg, within the established limit.

In the organization chaired by Scott Coker since 2019, Austin vanderford will have his first chance to fight for a belt in the company. Undefeated in his career, the husband of paige vanzant He weighed 83,3kg, below the required weight and will enter the match slightly lighter than the champion.

For the co-main event, Sinead Kavanagh, last victim of Chris Cyborg in contention for the featherweight throne (up to 65,7kg.), is also ready. The athlete secured 66kg., and faces Leah McCourt, in a clash that could bring the winner closer to a confrontation against the Brazilian legend.

Among the 26 fighters scheduled for the show, only one failed. Scheduled on the preliminary card, Jamie Hay was the only athlete to not fulfill his commitment to the scale.

Representative of the featherweights, the fighter weighed 66,5kg, around 400g. above what is permitted. To measure strength with Lee Hammond, who weighed 66kg, the athlete must pass on a percentage of his purse to his opponent.
