Gilbert Durinho criticizes Jorge Masvidal's 'lack of preparation' at UFC 272

The long-awaited fight between Colby covington e Jorge masvidal echoed among another elite athlete in the welterweight division (up to 77,1kg): Gilbert Durinho. The Brazilian fighter criticized the preparation of 'Jesus das Ruas' and the lack of 'response' to the well-known wrestling from the number one ranking in the category.

“I think the lack of preparation with (Jorge) Masvidal was real. Everyone could see he wasn't inside. I don't like Colby (Covington), so I wanted Masvidal to win, but Colby got in there and did what he did. A lot of wrestling, he has good rhythm, I don't think he's that king of cardio, but he has good cardio. He didn't inflict much damage, he didn't have a ground and pound efficient, he didn't even cut the guy's (face). He only does wrestling. Nothing impressive, but it was a good performance”, said Durinho.

Surrounded by much controversy, the duel between Covington and Masvidal led the UFC 272, which took place last Saturday (05). Unlike the week of the fight, the confrontation was below expectations and ended with a victory for 'Caos' in a unanimous decision by the judges.
