the phase of Antonio Pezão it's not good. Last Saturday (10), the Brazilian suffered yet another defeat in his career after being severely knocked out by kickboxer Zabit Zamedov, still in the first round, for 'Mix Fight Championship', in Azerbaijan. As a result, the native of Paraíba suffered his 11th consecutive setback.
On video (check it out below), it is possible to see Pezão being cornered by Zamedov before swinging on the bars. His opponent still had a devastating sequence and, with a kick to the head, saw the Brazilian fall knocked out. The referee opened the count, but Antônio was no longer able to continue the fight.

After the new setback, Pezão highlighted his 18-year career, but revealed that he is close to stopping. He still plans to have one more fight in MMA, which could serve as his farewell to the sport.
“I have 18 years of career. Now, in my next fight, maybe I'll stop too. Now it’s time to relax, retire and enjoy my family,” said Pezão.
At 42 years old, Pezão hasn't won since May 2013, when he knocked out Soa Palelei, still wearing Ultimate gloves. Professional since 2005, the fighter has a record of 19 triumphs, 14 setbacks and one unsuccessful fight in MMA. However, in combat sports, the Brazilian has continued for ten fights without having his arms raised.
In his career, he surpassed names like Fedor Emelianenko, Andrei Arlovski e alistair overeem, in successful stints at UFC and Strikeforce.
