The first defense of the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg) from Patricky Pitbull in Bellator is confirmed. This Thursday (17), the Brazilian and all the other 25 athletes scheduled for the 13 fights of the Bellator 288 faced the challenge against the scales at the event's official weigh-in.
Defending the title for the first time, Patricky was below the category limit, weighing 69,8kg. Challenger for the Brazilian's belt, Usman Nurmagomedov, cousin of former UFC champion Khabib, weighed 70,2kg, also slightly below the maximum allowed for lightweights.
Responsible for the main fight, valid for the tournament final and for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg), Vadim nemkov e Corey anderson They also had no problems with the scale. The Russian weighed 92,4kg, while the North American weighed 92,6kg.
With two title fights, the Bellator 288 takes place this Friday (18), with the preliminary card scheduled to start at 20pm and the main card at 23pm. The event takes place at the Wintrust Arena, in Chicago, Illinois (United States).
