“We will open a global call for those interested in 2023. We will create protocols, start consultations and most likely create a league and a tournament. It's time to do this and we will do it for safety and inclusion. We have been leaders in the rules for women's boxing, so the dangers of a man facing a woman will never happen because of what we will do. In boxing, a man facing a woman should never be accepted, regardless of gender changes. There can be no gray area around this and we want to do everything transparently and making the right decisions. Trans men or women can never struggle with a gender different from their birth. We are creating a series of rules and structures to make transgender boxing possible, as everyone deserves to fight if they want to. We will open a universal registry in 2023 and we will start from there,” she said.
