Fighter with recent stint in the UFC, Karl Robertson made headlines on police pages after being arrested accused of participating in a robbery that took place in New Jersey, in the United States, in which jewelry and other goods valued at more than US$200 (around R$988) were stolen.

According to the communiqué, Karl Robertson was arrested in his vehicle during a traffic stop in the city of Neptune. A pistol, several packages that police suspected contained crack, marijuana and other items related to the robbery were found in the fighter's car.
According to the release, Roberson was charged with robbery, theft, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and several weapons offenses.
In a statement to the North American website “MMA Fighting”, detective Ryan Jackson, who heads the investigation, confirmed Roberson's identity and revealed that the fighter was imprisoned for a few weeks before being released on bail.
According to an initial statement, Karl Robertson was one of two men arrested following the investigation into a residential burglary in which the suspects allegedly opened the back door of a home and went into the master bedroom, where they allegedly located and stole more than $200 worth of exotic jewelry and other objects of value. The suspects, who were wearing masks, were caught on internal and external security cameras.
Karl Robertson spent the last five years as a UFC athlete. Signed through the third season of the Contender Series, the American was cut by the organization at the end of last year after four consecutive defeats.
