The old saying that 'only jiu-jitsu' saves was put to the test once again in the opening fight of the UFC London, valid for the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg). After struggling at the beginning of the fight against the Spaniard Daniel Barez, Jafel Filho he went from almost being knocked out to winning the duel thanks to a precise takedown and a very well placed katagatame in the first round.

With the victory over Daniel Barez, Jafel Filho recovers from the defeat suffered in his Ultimate debut, at the same O2 Arena, against Muhammad Mokayev, in March of this year.
