Continuing his 'international tour' after visits to Singapore and Paris, the Ultimate Octagon arrives in Sydney, Australia, for the star-studded UFC 293. With 12 fights scheduled, the event is headlined by the middleweight belt dispute (up to 83,9kg) between Israel adesanya e Sean Strickland.
After regaining the title with a knockout over his rival Alex Poatán in April, Adesanya seeks the first defense of his new reign in the category. The challenger this time is the North American Sean Strickland, fifth placed in the ranking, who seeks to 'break the bank' and become the new champion.

The 'Brazilian Squadron' is represented in the UFC 293 by two names. On the main card, Felipe dos Santos, training partner Charles of the Bronx at Chute Boxe, he answers a last-minute call to face the Portuguese-Angolan player Manel kape, tenth in the flyweight rankings (up to 56,7kg).
On the preliminary card, the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) Gabriel Miranda seeks the first victory in the organization against the New Zealander Shane Young, training partner Israel adesanya at City Kickboxing.
