Former UFC strawweight champion, Carla esparza lived a more than special moment away from the Ultimate octagon. In a social media post last Wednesday (27), the fighter revealed the birth of her first child with her husband Matthew Lomeli.

Donovan Lomeli was born last Saturday night (23), weighing 3,3kg and measuring 49,8cm. Esparza celebrated the arrival of her firstborn in a recording on social media.

“And now, introducing Donovan Lomeli! 23/09/23. Best day of my life. 5 hours of active labor, 20 minutes of pushing without any ruptures, and our healthy baby was here! Now we are resting at home and loving our little boy. I’m so in love,” wrote the former champion.

Carla esparza She was UFC strawweight champion on two occasions. In 2014, she became the inaugural champion of the category by finishing Rose namajunas in the final of The Ultimate Fighter 20. Eight years later, he regained the title with a victory over the same Namajunas in the UFC 274.
