Brazilian recovers from delicate phase and defeats Jun Yong Park in a split decision from the judges; fighter had two consecutive setbacks

In a dramatic battle in UFC Las Vegas 83, André Sergipano overcame adversities and used race to be able to apply strategy in the face of Jun Yong Park and guarantee victory in the judges' split decision. In the second round, André started with a violent stance and placed good hands on Park's face, who counterattacked well, but ended up being taken down afterwards. In a scenario similar to the first round, Sergipano once again dominated his opponent from the back and tried tirelessly to apply a rear naked choke. Without giving in, Park sought defense and defense, frustrating his rival's attacks, but being dominated at all times.
