Honored by Jon Jones, Leon Edwards rejects legend's kindness and asks for 'alternative gift'

Publicly honored by Jon Jones, Leon edwards showed respect to the legend, but rejected the motorcycle offered by the UFC champion. On his social networks, the Englishman asked for a gift that he considers more his style. The suggestion was a clock.

“All respect to the best of all time. It was an easy job. That's a lot coming from you. I don't ride a motorcycle, but I would accept a 'rollie' (Rolex, a traditional Swiss watch manufacturer)", wrote Edwards, in his profile on Twitter.

Remembered by Jones, Edwards climbed into the Octagon in UFC 296 for his second title defense at welterweight (up to 77,1kg.). Before Colby covington, Jon's public dislike, the Englishman had a dominant performance and frustrated the North American's dream of wearing a linear belt in the category.

The result expands Leon's legacy in the division and confirms the fighter's great phase. The athlete, today, manages a streak of 13 appearances without defeat.
