Who expected any sign of repentance from Colby covington about controversy talks about Leon Edwards' father at the press conference of UFC 296, I was very wrong. Defeated by the Brit in the welterweight belt fight (up to 77,1 kg) last Saturday (16), the North American 'doubled down' and this time compared the champion's late father to Adolf Hitler.

During his appearance on the ‘PBD’ podcast, Covington didn’t mince words and compared his father to Leon edwards, murdered during the champion's adolescence, to the terrible leader of German Nazism.

PUBLICITY:

“I am reaffirming. Why would I feel bad about anything I said about someone who was a criminal and caused so much pain to so many people? I'm not going to feel bad for someone like Hitler, who was a terrible person”, said the fighter.

the speech of Colby covington was interrupted by the podcast host, who questioned whether the fighter was actually comparing Edwards' father to Adolf Hitler.

PUBLICITY:

“I'm not comparing him to Hitler, but I'm saying he's a villain on the same level. (…) You can search public records on his father. It's not my fault. He was the one who put the spotlight on his father and made him seem like a sympathetic figure. (…) If my father did things like that, I would say the same thing about him. He probably deserves to be buried six feet under because he did a lot of things wrong to people, so I'm not going to feel bad or celebrate someone like he's a hero. That guy wasn't a hero. He was a villain. A terrible person who did terrible things”, concluded Colby.
