“I’m in my own concussion protocol. I'm consulting with my coaches too, and we're basically just saying, 'Save yourself for six months or something.' I have to build a house and raise my boy, then I can focus on my next training camp. The good thing is I don’t have to rush,” Mitchell said.

The American said he will have no difficulty returning to the Octagon after the first knockout of his career and regretted the reaction of his close friends and family.

“The worst part was dealing with everyone afterwards, because everyone thought I was dead. It's just terrible. Literally everyone I knew was crying and just sad. On the bright side, this was the easiest fight for me. I’ve never had a fight where I felt so good”, concluded the featherweight.
