The event that marks the return of Ultimate to Mexico, on February 24th, had a crucial change confirmed in its main fight. Original opponent of Brandon Moreno, amir albazi had to leave the card due to an injury and was replaced by Brandon royval. The information was confirmed by Moreno in an interview with the North American ‘ESPN’.

“It’s a different opponent. I don't know what happened to amir albazi, but he is out of the fight. So now I will fight with Brandon royval, who fought for the title in December. I'm ready. At the end of the day, it's all about the next opponent. I want the opportunity to fight for the title again and if the UFC says I need to fight one more time before then, I will fight,” said the former champion.

Through social networks, amir albazi explained to fans that he left the card UFC Mexico due to an injury.

“I'm out of the fight against Moreno on February 24th. I have been dealing with a serious neck injury for the last few weeks. After some tests, the UFC doctors decided to take me out of the fight immediately. I would like to apologize to the fans and the UFC. I will be back, Allah willing”, wrote the athlete.
