New middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.), Dricus du Plessis didn't miss the opportunity to provoke rapper Drake, who bet against him in the fight against Sean Strickland No. UFC 297 last Saturday (20/01). The South African thanked the Canadian artist for his “help” in his victory, which was decided by split decision of the judges.
Drake revealed that he had bet $700 (about R$3,5 million) on Strickland, through a story on his Instagram profile. The rapper was also present at the Scotiabank Arena, in Toronto, his hometown, to watch the event live.

However, what he saw was an even and closely contested fight, which ended with Du Plessis winning by two cards to one. The South African showed more volume and variety of strikes, while Strickland focused on power and precision.

The result frustrated Drake's plans, as he missed out on winning just over 1,3 million dollars (R$6,4 million), as the odds for the North American's victory were 1.97 on the platform he did it on. your bet.
