The flyweights (up to 57kg) of Chute Boxe Diego Lima take action this Saturday (24) at UFC Mexico. Charles do Bronxs' teammates, Mateus Bocão, Daniel Miojo e Lip Detona will make their debuts in 2024 in front of Jesus Aguilar, Edgar Chairez e Victor Altamiranorespectively.
Born in Pindaré Mirim, in Maranhão, Bocão has dedicated himself intensely to his preparation for this important fight. With an impressive record of 10 wins and just two losses in his MMA career, Mateus is known for his versatility, accumulating three victories by knockout, four by submission and three by referee decision.

“I prepared very well for my fight, both mentally and physically. I'm very happy and I'm sure I'll leave with my arm raised. You can expect a more aggressive, intelligent and mature guy. You can be sure that I am prepared as if I were going to compete for the category belt. I'm ready for anything inside the octagon. My opponent is very tough in striking, but I will impose my game and come out with the victory”, said Bocão.
The first duel between Daniel Miojo e Edgar Chairez ended controversially due to a wrong decision by the fight's central referee. The judge ended the fight after judging that the Brazilian had 'blacked out' after being the target of a hand triangle from his rival. After reviewing the images, the arbitration committee immediately turned the match into a 'no contest' (no result). Now, the athletes face each other again for a rematch in the UFC Mexico.
“I was very unaggressive in our first fight. I started a little passive, going out of character. I wanted to increase my pace as the rounds went by, but I ended up changing too much and the referee was still unhappy. But that's okay, it's over. This time I won't give chances to chance. I'm going to go to 220v, trying to end the fight as quickly as possible”, declared Miojo.
At just 23 years old and with a record of seven wins, one 'no contest' and just one defeat, Felipe dos Santos, better known as 'Lip Detona', promises to present an improved version after leaving a good impression in his Ultimate debut, in September last year, when he faced Manel kape at UFC 93.
“My preparation was simply incredible, one of the smartest I’ve ever done. I learned a lot about myself as an athlete and corrected every mistake I made. I'm ready to get into this fight and show what I'm capable of. I see this fight ending with a knockout. I will take advantage of every opening from my opponent, who, I must say, is unpredictable. But I'm more than prepared for any challenge he presents. I’m going to put on a real show”, said Lipe.
