Francis Ngannou returns to boxing and faces former world champion Anthony Joshua this Friday

Living a 'real dream', Francis Ngannou will, once again, be the star of a major boxing card. This Friday night (08), at the Kingdom Arena, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the former UFC champion will return to the ring of the noble art to face another legend of the noble art, the Englishman Anthony Joshua. The duel will take place in up to 10 rounds and the show will feature nine other clashes, four of which will be worth belts.

Former UFC champion and one of the biggest names in the history of heavyweights in mixed martial arts, Ngannou faced the entire top brass of Ultimate to fulfill his dream of boxing and managed to win that war. In his debut in the noble art, in October 2023, the Cameroonian faced off against the former champion Tyson Fury and, despite the defeat in a tight split decision, he knocked down the veteran and left the ring applauded. Now, it’s time for the second chapter of this journey.

Since he was dethroned by Oleksandr Usyk in August 2022, the English fighter has won three consecutive victories and should have a new opportunity to start a new reign if he beats Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.
