Paulo Borrachinha reveals his refusal and explains why he won't fight at UFC 301, in Rio de Janeiro

Paulo borrachinha should not fight in UFC 301, which takes place on May 04th, in Rio de Janeiro. The miner, who comes from a defeat against Robert whittaker in February, he revealed that he prefers to perform at an event in Las Vegas (USA), in June.

The information was released by the fighter himself on his official account on “X” (formerly Twitter). According to him, there was a survey by Ultimate for him to join the card in Brazil, but the Minas Gerais native refused the proposal.

“They called me to fight in Rio, but Las Vegas looks better, in June”, wrote the fighter, who currently occupies seventh place in the category ranking.

Borrachinha, who has 14 wins and three losses in his career, explained that if he accepted to fight at UFC Rio, he would lose the chance to participate in “International Fight Week”. Ultimate's special week of events usually takes place at the end of June, in Las Vegas, and is known for promoting big names involved in attractive fights for the organization's fans.
