“Sorry guys, I let you all down. Today was a bad day at the office, but tomorrow will be another day. Thank you everyone for your love,” wrote Ngannou.
Ngannou made his professional boxing debut in October 2023 against the heavyweight legend Tyson Fury. Even with the defeat, the Cameroonian shocked the world by delivering a tough duel, including a knockdown applied to the English veteran. However, in his second engagement in the noble art, against Anthony Joshua, the 'Predator' was largely dominated and suffered a brutal knockout in the second round.
New PFL signing, Ngannou is expected to return to MMA in the coming months and already has a defined opponent: the Brazilian Renan Problem who knocked out the veteran Ryan bader last February and confirmed himself as the rival who will welcome the Cameroonian to his new home.
