In the beginning of the month, Francis Ngannou took his second step into professional boxing, but ended up brutally knocked out by former world champion Anthony Joshua in the second round of the duel. Despite this, the Cameroonian guarantees that he does not regret any decision he made before or even during the fight.
Participating in the 'MMA Hour' podcast, Ngannou praised the preparation he made for the duel against Joshua and guarantees that, if he had the opportunity, he wouldn't do anything differently.

“That's one thing that helped me deal with the defeat: in terms of training camp, I had the best I could. I was in my best condition. If we had to start all over again, I don't see anything I would do differently. We had a good training camp in Riyadh and everything was fine, except on the day of the fight when things were very strange”, assured the Cameroonian.
After the fight, Ben Davison, Joshua's trainer, pointed out Ngannou's change from right-handed to southpaw during the fight as the Cameroonian's main mistake in the defeat. The former UFC champion, however, disagrees.
“I have no regrets. Now that I lost the fight, I can't say anything I did wrong. We worked on everything and everything was ok. It was all my choice. Until I switched to left-handed base, where my defense is sharper than right-handed. I have no regrets. We work for it, we make that decision and we stick with it. With the same southpaw base I basically won the fight against Tyson Fury”, Finished.
