Current interim champion of the heavyweight category (up to 120,2kg.) Tom aspinall demonstrates that he is aware that he will not face Jon Jones Next. Despite the circumstances, the athlete wants to stay active and promises to go after the only athlete who defeated him in the UFC: Curtis blaydes. Unhappy with the setback to his record due to an injury suffered in the fight, the prospect was willing to seek a rematch.
“He's a good guy, his team is good people, his dad is a good guy, I have nothing bad to say about Curtis blaydes personally. Professionally, I want to beat him up. I want to end him, simple as that. I owe you one, and I'd love to get it back. So if the UFC wants to do that, I'm more than willing to do it," Aspinall said in an interview with Michael Bisping.

Despite the statement, Aspinall reinforced that there was no feeling of rivalry against the veteran.
“If he wants to, as far as I’m concerned, I’m in. I have a lot of respect for Curtis and, obviously, I would like to fight again. I lost to him when I got injured and I have nothing against Curtis. I can’t sit here and say I don’t like him because, honestly, I like him,” he concluded.
Winner in his last appearance, Blaydes also showed interest in having a rematch against the English star. The expectation is that the interim champion will face Jon Jones ou Stipe Miocic in the future, for the unification of titles in the up to 120kg category.
