Saturday night (30) was bitter for Vincent Luque at UFC Atlantic City. The Brazilian, who was looking to consolidate himself as one of the main contenders in the welterweight division (up to 77kg), succumbed to the knockout power of Joaquin buckley, the 'Knockout Man' in the second round of the event's co-main fight.
With the result, Luque feels the taste of his third setback in the last four fights. The Brazilian now has a record of 22 positive results, ten negative results and one draw.

The duel started at a fast pace, with both fighters seeking the initiative. Luque, true to his aggressive style, pressed the American against the fence, while Buckley exploited his wingspan and precision in his strikes.
In the second round, the story reversed. In a takedown attempt, Luque found himself exposed to Buckley's powerful blows. The American connected with a series of punches and knees that left the Brazilian stunned, leading the referee to declare a technical knockout at 3:17. of the round.
