In an interview with 'Canal Encarada', 'Daico' expressed his desire to fulfill his dream of facing Dominick Cruz, former champion and current 11th place in the category.

“People are pushing some names, but what I really want is to fulfill a dream of mine, which is to fight against Dominick Cruz. Dominick is a guy with a very big name, everyone knows his story and he is a guy who works within the organization and is always in the spotlight. I hope one day I can fight him. For me, it's a dream to fight a guy with his stature and the name he has in the organization”, said the Brazilian.
Today at age 39, Dominick Cruz He is considered by many to be the greatest name in bantamweight history. Plagued by serious injuries, the former champion returned to the Octagon in 2020 after almost four years away and has recorded two wins and two defeats since then.
Even five positions ahead of Cruz in the ranking, Deiveson Figueiredo is willing to face the former champion and already knows the ideal date for the duel: the UFC 303, on the 29nd of June.
“For me, it would be sensational to fight at the McGregor event in June. It depends on him. If he signs the contract, I'm ready. I want to fight him”, said the former flyweight champion.
