Former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.), Alexander Volkanovsky shows that he is keeping an eye on a possible title clash between Ilia Topuria x Max Holloway. Used to guessing about fights, the Australian surprised by pointing out great favoritism for the Hawaiian, an athlete he has already defeated three times. In the veteran's opinion, the task can be easily completed.
“I also believe Max can go there and make the fight look easy. I think Max wins this fight. Topuria is very dangerous, a great fighter. But I don't think he's as good as he thinks he is. And of course he caught me, right? So, I can't say much. So I need to show everyone. I know I can do this too. And I'm also quite confident that Max can do it too, which is why I didn't want him to fight Topuria before me,” Volkanovski said in an interview with Fox Sports.

Hardly defeated by Ilia Topuria No. UFC 298, Volkanovski expects to receive the chance for an immediate rematch against the current champion of the category. Despite his intentions, the athlete does not seem to have a reciprocated interest in the Spanish-Georgian, who has been involved in provocations with Holloway. So far, Dana White has not commented on the featherweight king's next move.
