Jon Jones hits back at Curtis Blaydes and downplays UFC 304 co-main fight

The linear heavyweight champion provoked Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes and praised his successful career in the organization

Challenger for the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg), Curtis blaydes He was emphatic in saying that he believes he will fight for the 'real' title. However, the current linear champion Jon Jones rebutted his division rival and provoked him by citing his history as a UFC athlete.

“A little Saturday math for everyone. Curtis 0 + Tom 0 belts = 0. Jon 14 + Stipe 6 belts = 20. To be fair to Curtis and Tom, I also didn't count my interim belt win (laughs). But yes, of course, you are fighting for the real belt. #Fatos”, provoked Jones on his social network 'X' (formerly Twitter).

Curtis blaydes e Tom aspinall will compete for the interim heavyweight belt at UFC 304 scheduled for July 27, in Manchester, England. In the main fight of the event, Leon edwards e Belal Muhammad | will share the octagon in a duel valid for the welterweight title.

Recovering from two recent surgeries, Jones has already returned to training and is scheduled to return in November, on the Ultimate card traditionally held at Madison Square Garden, in New York. The MMA legend's rival will be Stipe Miocic, former champion of the category and who has not acted professionally since March 2021, when he was dethroned by Francis Ngannou.
