Former promise of the largest MMA organization in the world, Dominick reyes has plenty of reasons to celebrate his victory at UFC Louisville. The trampling on dustin jacoby ended a dramatic series of four defeats and confirmed the athlete's first positive result in almost five years. At the press conference moments after the triumph, the athlete opened up about the moment.

“It’s a relief, for sure. When he (Jacoby) hit me, it was a relief too: I'm still here. I had many issues in which I discredited myself. Then I saw my performance and remembered how much I love it. I'm not going anywhere. (…) I'm still capable of erasing anyone. Jacoby had never been knocked out or submitted in my division, and I did it. (…) For everyone who is going through difficulties and thinks it won't pass, keep working, it will pass. You will return to the top,” Reyes said.

The fight at UFC Louisville also marked Dominick's return to the Octagon. Hampered by injuries, the North American has not competed since the end of 2022.

Last Saturday (8), Reyes had a lightning performance. A pivot with a tough knockout, the athlete needed exactly two minutes to settle the bill against his rival.
