Eternal rival Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen decided to use good humor to express his concern about facing the Brazilian legend in a boxing challenge. With just under a week to go before the fight, the American released a video in which he jokes about cheating in front of 'Spider' in the ring. Among the items added to the suitcase are a knife and ninja star.
“Everything is working out. That's a ninja star, which you can throw really fast. This is called nunchaku. You can hide it inside your gloves. I used this in many fights. I don't intend to hit Anderson with the nunchaku. I'm taking it just in case I need to hit Anderson. I don’t think I’ll need a knife, but I’ll put it inside my glove, just in case,” Sonnen said.

The boxing challenge between Anderson and Chael marks the meeting of former UFC stars almost 15 years after their last confrontation. On the two occasions in which they shared the octagon, the Brazilian came out on top, once by submission and once by knockout.
On June 15, Silva admitted that he must say goodbye to competitions in Brazil. At 49 years old, the Brazilian legend has dedicated himself to performing in the 'noble art'.
Anderson's last fight took place in October 2022. On that occasion, the athlete ended up being defeated by Jake Paul in a boxing duel.
Responsible for trying to ruin the 'Spider' party, Sonnen returns to compete after a five-year hiatus. At 47 years old, the North American performed for the last time in Bellator, when he was defeated by Lyoto Machida.
