And, of course, it will.” Luiz Dórea says this, when asked about the preparation of Anderson Silva for Spaten Fight Night, which marks Spider's farewell in Brazil, in a boxing match against Chael Sonnen, this Saturday (15), in São Paulo. “Anderson has been preparing for boxing for a long time. Today, he is a professional boxer. He is a legend, the greatest MMA fighter in history. Anderson has great aptitude for martial arts, he is improving a lot in boxing. He's a 49-year-old young man, the guy is really incredible. We are working with a lot of respect for the opponent and, the more we train, the more respect we show for the opponent. It's been a very technical camp to get into the best physical and technical condition to put on a great show. And it certainly will,” highlights Dórea.

“They have already faced each other twice in MMA, they know each other very well. But I think that in MMA it was one thing, in boxing we have more resources. At no time do we want to underestimate Sonnen's experience, as he is a great athlete. But Anderson is very well prepared. The boxing adapted to MMA that Sonnen faced in his two previous fights is very different, so this fight will surprise him a lot. Anderson has a lot of speed and movement, combinations of blows… He is very efficient.”
