After announcement made about confrontation between Gilbert Durinho x Sean brady for September 7th, the Brazilian used his podcast to state that the fight has not yet taken place. According to the Brazilian, the contract to face the North American welterweight standout (up to 77,1kg) has not yet reached his hands. The news of the fight had been announced by the MMA Junkie.
“I think he announced it, right: He published it yesterday about. But this is not official. Like, I've been in the UFC for 10 years. Every time you sign a fight, the UFC has a plan to work on that fight. They really want the fight to sell it. They want to do all these things. So, when you sign, it doesn’t mean anything”, said Durinho on 'Show Me the Money Podcast'.

As he continued his speech, the Brazilian reinforced that nothing has been made official at the moment, despite being in negotiations to hold a confrontation.
Let the UFC promote the fight and especially nowadays when Dana White does live shows to announce the fight. The fight is not official. He never had a contract. They offered, we started talking about it, but that’s it (just),” he concluded.
Currently sixth in the welterweight rankings, Durinho expects to return to his winning ways after suffering two consecutive setbacks. On the other hand, Brady wants to take another step towards the title after finishing his rival in his last appearance.
