Martial arts legend, Anderson Silva returns to the ring and performs his last performance on Brazilian soil. This Saturday (15), in São Paulo (SP), the 49-year-old fighter meets again Chael Sonnen for boxing challenge. The confrontation marks the main clash of Spaten Fight Night.
Considered by many to be one of the best MMA fighters in history, 'Spider' returns to face his eternal rival after more than 10 years. The veterans made their mark in the UFC and staged one of the biggest rivalries in the company's books.
The challenge between Anderson and Sonnen does not represent the only clash at Spaten Fight Night. In addition to the clash between the former stars of mixed martial arts, the show features three more presentations.
In the co-main fight, there is a clash of Brazilian boxing talents. Olympic champion Herbert Conceição measures forces with Esquiva Falcão, former challenger for the world middleweight title by the 'International Boxing Federation' (IBF).
Moments before, Kalyl Silva, Anderson's son, enters the ring. Promising for the future of the sport, the fighter faces Paulo Roberto.
The challenge that opens the card will be contested under MMA rules. Bia Mesquita, jiu-jitsu icon, debuts in mixed martial arts against Jojo Ramos.

UFC icons in the 2010s, Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen they fueled a rivalry that, to this day, is remembered by nostalgic MMA fans. The first meeting between the athletes took place in 2010 and, recently, they were included in the Ultimate 'Hall of Fame'.
At the time of the initial meeting, the Brazilian reigned supreme at middleweight (up to 83,9kg). Amid controversies due to the tepid confrontation against Demian Maia, 'Spider' was put to the test against the 'bad boy', who gained notoriety in the sport through provocations and pragmatic play.
The first fight came close to representing a tragic chapter in Anderson's career in professional MMA. For the first time, the Brazilian would 'suffer' to beat an opponent.
For almost five full rounds, Sonnen was superior and punished the Brazilian star. However, towards the end of the match, Silva proved his mastery and found a submission that gave him the victory, in addition to defending his belt.
About two years later, the fighters shared the Octagon again. Still as champion, this time, Anderson didn't have so many scares. The Brazilian won the victory via knockout in the second round, remaining, once again, at the top of the middleweight division.
Almost 12 years later, the UFC icons face each other again, but this time, in boxing. With a friendly atmosphere, infinitely different from the context of the past, both test their qualities in the new modality.
