The Brazilian Felipe Lima it was a pleasant surprise UFC Saudi Arabia. Inserted at the last minute in the event this Saturday (22), held in Riyadh, the Brazilian accepted the challenge of replacing Melsik Baghdasaryan with less than a week of preparation. Before Muhammadjon Naimov, the athlete showed technique, resistance and debuted with a submission victory in the third round.
The victory elevates Lima's achievement. In addition to 'saving' a fight on the card, the 26-year-old athlete drew attention for his versatility and extended his undefeated streak to 13 professional MMA clashes.

The fight began with the athletes exchanging powerful kicks in the center of the octagon in the opening seconds. The Brazilian knocked Naimov off balance with a front kick and then threw a flying knee. The attack grazed the opponent's face, who was cornered against the fence. Muhammadjon managed to get away and the challenge was fought again in the center of the Octagon. The confrontation was marked by aggression, with the fighters looking for a knockout. The athletes did not slow down and were excited in the frank confrontation. Halfway through the stage, Muhammadjon managed a takedown and started looking for gaps to score. From below, Felipe was dangerous, and tried to frustrate his opponent with elbows from below.
In the second round, Lima was the first to attack, with another front kick. The Brazilian continued to focus on kicks and played from long distance. With a minute gone, Muhammadjon scared the Brazilian with a series of crosses. Felipe, however, was not intimidated by his opponent. The challenge was 'here and there' and the combatants did not leave their attacks unanswered. Near the final minute, Naimov closed the distance and tried to take a takedown. Felipe defended himself and managed to get away.
The last round started with Muhammadjon throwing two low kicks. Lima responded with a flying knee followed by a cross. The Brazilian continued to surprise and stand up to his opponent. Still in the first minute, Felipe managed a takedown and reached his opponent's back. The Brazilian secured the rear naked choke and forced his rival to tap out.
