Looking to stay on top of the world of boxing, Anthony Joshua spares no effort in preparing for his next challenges. Last Sunday night (23), the athlete used his social networks to share an unusual training method: treatment with hot cups.

The video published by Joshua shows his torso and arms covered by the suction cups, which, after heating, are placed on the skin and create a vacuum effect as they cool.

According to experts, this ancient technique, originating in China, can help reduce muscle pain, treat infections and increase blood flow, while also promoting a deep tissue massage.

Cupping treatment, although uncommon for the general public, is increasingly used by high-performance athletes as a way of optimizing muscle recovery and preventing injuries. In Joshua's case, the search for this technique may be related to his preparation for the next fight, which has yet to be confirmed.
