After all the confusion and change of opponent that preceded the victory in UFC 303, last Saturday (29), Diego lopes did not hide the desire that the fight against Brian ortega be rescheduled for the UFC 306, in September, at 'Esfera', in Las Vegas. The rival, however, is not the only one in the Brazilian's plans.

During participation in 'The MMA Hour', Diego lopes stated that, if Ortega is not available to compete in the featherweight division in September, he is interested in facing the former champion of the category Alexander Volkanovsky.

“We would love for the fight against Brian ortega was rescheduled. I would love this opportunity as long as he can weigh 66 kg, is healthy and can go to the fight. If not, then I would love to face Volkanovski. It would be a great achievement for me and another step in my career”, pointed out the Brazilian.

Diego lopes is on the back of four consecutive victories and has not lost since his UFC debut, against Movsar Evloev, who got into an argument with Brazilians on social media in recent days. Diego, however, does not see the point in a duel against the Russian at the moment.

“There’s no real answer to that. He better stay quiet because he didn’t come close to doing what I did in one year in the UFC”, he concluded.
