Alexandre Pantoja reveals UFC's 'rush' for his return to the Octagon: 'There's something very special'

Absolute flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), Alexandre pantoja His vacation days are numbered and he should return to the octagon soon. The Brazilian fighter said that he intended to return to his activities in December, but that the UFC has already scheduled his next commitment before the last numbered event of the year.

“I wanted to fight in December, they (the UFC) are already planning a fight well before that. We have a fight underway. I can't say much right now, but there's a big fight to announce to everyone. We have an opponent, we have a date, we just need to settle some points. I don't want to say anything because the UFC hasn't done anything yet, but there's something very special for everyone, and I'm very happy with this next stage in my life”, said Pantoja in an interview with 'Ag, Fight'.

Owner of the flyweight belt since July 2023, Pantoja has already defended his title on two occasions. The most recent of these took place in UFC 301, on May 04th, in Rio de Janeiro. In a tight fight, the champion beat the Australian Steve Erceg in the unanimous decision of the judges. At 34 years old, the Brazilian star has an MMA record of 28 triumphs and just five setbacks.
