Enjoying a splendid moment in his career, Alex Poatan was 'invited' to show his talents in another sport. In a post on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua expressed that he would like to see the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) champion in boxing, and the Brazilian responded to the compliment by opening the door to the possibility.

“Alex Pereira should make his boxing debut one day,” said Joshua.
Without hesitation, the light heavyweight champion responded saying that he liked the idea and said he was open to hearing the names of possible rivals.
“I'm honored that you think so. It's always been my dream, I'm 37 years old and I can't make a career out of it, so who do you recommend I fight with?”, asked the Brazilian.
At UFC 303 , held on June 29th, Poatan knocked out Jiri Prochazka again and defended his light heavyweight title for the second consecutive time. The grand duel took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA).
