Defeated after accepting a last-minute call to appear at the UFC 303, Dan Ige does not hide the desire to have the opportunity to meet again with Diego lopes in the octagon. Contrary to what happened in June, the North American stated that the duel can be rescheduled with both having ideal preparation time for the rematch.
“I heard that Yair is still climbing Mount Everest and won't be ready for the sphere. Diego, you deserve a higher ranking for sure, but if you don't get what you want, I'm sure the fans would love to see us race back with full preparations and equal preparation opportunities. What better place than to make history again in the sphere?”, published Ige on his official Instagram account.

Despite the attempt, the fighter has not received any kind of response from Diego so far. In the first meeting, Ige showed up four hours in advance, endured two rounds of great pressure imposed by the Brazilian, managed to win the third round, but was defeated by the judges' unanimous decision.
As suggested, the event at the Sphere will be the UFC 306, which will focus on honoring the Mexican population. The show is scheduled for September 14th and according to Dana White, it will be the biggest show ever promoted by a sport.
