Two weeks after the brutal knockout over Charles Jourdain, Jean Silva accepted a last-minute call from the organization and will step up to the UFC Denver octagon to face the experienced Drew dober. Before the event that takes place this Saturday (13), the Fighting Nerds prospect explained why he accepted the challenge proposed by the organization, even with little preparation time.

“There was the issue of weight. I think not making weight for the UFC is like I fell into doping. That was a small part, the issue of not having made weight, for me to have accepted this fight, for me to want to be on good terms with the company I work for. But the biggest issue is that they say he's a knockout artist... Let's test myself”, said Jean in an interview with 'Ag. Fight'.

Jean was hired by Ultimate in 2023 after participating in the reality show 'Contender Series'. In two fights in the organization, the Santa Catarina native emerged victorious in both, against Westin Wilson and Charles Jourdain, all by knockout. At UFC Denver, which takes place this Saturday (13), the Brazilian will face the veteran Drew dober, on the main card of the show. The duel will take place at lightweight (up to 70,3kg), a division above where the 'Lord Assassin' usually operates.
