I’m happy that we’re finally going to have this fight and that Leon is going to be able to go in there and prove to everyone that he’s up there on that pound-for-pound list,” he said.
Although he praised the abilities of Leon edwards, Kamaru Usman advised the Briton to behave more aggressively inside the octagon to defend his reign in the category.
“I think it’s a good fight. I like the wave of confidence that Leon is carrying now. He understands the responsibility of being a champion; how you should train, the mindset you need to have. One small thing I would like to see from him is him releasing that killer. If you know he’s the biggest dog, you need to prove it to every single challenger who wants his spot,” he concluded.
