Amid the adventures of MMA athletes in the world of boxing, Sergey Lapin, manager of the current world champion of the noble art Oleksandr Usyk, wants to innovate and go against the popular trend. Confident in his fighter's abilities, the Ukrainian's representative does not rule out proposing a duel against Jon Jones in MMA rules, in order to decree who is the 'baddest on the planet'.
“He is proving that he is the best of his generation and once he retires Tyson Fury, he will consider his options. Maybe going down in weight again, or maybe a big option on the table for him, being in a boxing ring, an MMA cage, or even at BKFC in Conor McGregor. Can you imagine Usyk and Jon Jones fighting to prove who is the baddest guy on the planet?”, said Sergey in an interview with Betway.

In addition to mentioning Jones, Sergey did not miss names like Anthony Joshua and even Jake Paul for a possible duel.
“Or maybe a third fight with Anthony Joshua in an MMA cage. Perhaps Jake Paul at cruiserweight, although Usyk would need to fight him with one hand behind his back to make that seem fair.”
At 37 years old, Usyk is going through a great phase in his career. Undefeated in boxing, the fighter has 22 victories and in his last appearance he was responsible for ending the unbeaten run of Tyson Fury in the noble art and steal the Englishman's belt. The rematch between the athletes is scheduled for December 21, in Saudi Arabia.
