Cast to star in the UFC Paris against the dangerous Benoit Saint-Denis on September 28, Renato Moicano counts with confidence from his coach Marcos Parrumpinha. Renowned coach in the world of MMA, the Brazilian shows respect for the Frenchman's skills, but believes that his pupil's flagship will make a difference in a tight confrontation.
“It’s a fight that will really define physical conditioning. Saint-Denis always starts very strong, it's a characteristic of him. Moicano has to be in good shape to defend himself well in the first rounds and still be able to impose his game from the second round onwards. He can't wait for the third one. He can’t lose three and then want to come back and think he’s going to catch it (…) I think that from the second round onwards he will impose himself and get to where we want, which is on the ground”, declared Parrumpinha in an interview with 'MMA Today'.

Finally, the American Top Team coach recognized that despite the possibility of not winning via the fast track, domination on the ground will be favorable to his fighter.
“If he comes out on top, whether in the first, second or any round, I think he wins that round. He may not finish or have a technical knockout, but Moicano is on top, that round is his,” he concluded.
Currently ranked 10th in the lightweight rankings, Moicano is enjoying a great phase in his career with three consecutive victories. Aiming to take big steps in the category, the athlete faces the organization's promise Benoit Saint-Denis, who seeks to return to winning ways after suffering a tough knockout in UFC 299. Confrontation between athletes takes place in Paris, on September 28th.
