Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier In the last decade, they cultivated one of the biggest rivalries in MMA and became declared enemies to this day. This, however, does not prevent 'DC' from believing that the rival is being unfairly targeted in relation to the latest problem with justice, referring to an alleged attack on anti-doping agents.
In a video published on his official 'YouTube' channel, Cormier minimized the recent accusations against Jones and said that his rival is being the victim of an injustice based on past problems.

“I know we all rush to judge Jon Jones because of his past problems, but the truth is, if a man is inside having a few drinks in the comfort of his home, what's the problem? It's his right. And if the agents arrive and he's a little upset, maybe the interactions won't be as fun or easy as other times. So I always thought that was bullshit. I think this is because of what he's done in the past, he ends up being in the spotlight, even when he shouldn't be. I don't think it was a big deal. Some things that happened in the past were much more serious,” said the former fighter.
Daniel Cormier made a point of reaffirming that he has no appreciation for Jon Jones, but who, in this specific case, is in favor of his rival and does not believe that the case will have real consequences for the current UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg).
“If you are a 'hater' of Jon Jones and wait for something to happen, I don't think it will. I think this guy was bombed and these charges are just a way for the court to take some action because something needs to be done when you do something wrong. I'm not the judge, I'm not the jury, so it doesn't matter. I'm just a guy who doesn't like another guy, but is actually on his side, because I know it's all bullshit,” he concluded.
