Used to training and preparing Sean Strickland for UFC clashes, Chris Curtis ensures you have style Paulo borrachinha mapped out in your mind. Currently 15th in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9kg), the North American believes that a match against a Brazilian is favorable to his style. This is the second time that the athlete has challenged the Minas Gerais native.
“I cornered Sean in that fight. When he had that fight... I literally went back, watched all of Costa's fights and had a four-page report on what to do... everything Costa does, when he does it, why I think he does it,” said Curtis . “I think it’s a fight I’m good at,” said Curtis in an interview with MMA Junkie.

As he continued his speech, the American suggested that the scenario of the confrontation would be violent, to the point that both athletes would exchange punches until someone fell.
“Costa is usually a really fun guy to watch, but the Strickland fight was weird for him because Sean is a weird guy to fight. I think Costa and I can sit around and beat each other until someone falls, and I don't care about that. Sean doesn't want to fight like that. He's not trying to break your head. I will gladly stand in front of him and we will just beat each other up,” he concluded.
Despite attempts, Curtis has so far not received any response from the Brazilian. Rivals in UFC 302, Borrachinha and Strickland faced each other for five rounds and the former champion emerged victorious in the judges' unanimous decision.
