More than a year after leaving the UFC and signing a contract with the PFL, Francis Ngannou may finally have a date to debut in the organization. The former UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), who spent the last few months working in professional boxing, revealed that he should face the Brazilian Renan Problem, current PFL champion, in October.
During a recent appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, Ngannou praised the Brazilian and revealed that the PFL's plans are to hold the match on October 19th.

"I Think Renan ferreira is the guy. I've been telling people about this guy for almost two years. Very athletic. Quick hands, knees, very athletic. I think it will be him. This is what the PFL is working on. October. It’s not confirmed, but they were talking about October 19th”, revealed the Cameroonian.
Who imagines, however, that the imminent agreement for the fight against Renan Problem may indicate that Francis Ngannou stay active in the PFL, you can 'get the horse out of the rain'. This is because the Cameroonian has already stated that, after debuting in the MMA organization, he intends to turn his attention back to boxing.
“I would say MMA is definitely the next step because it's been over a year since the PFL deal and I was supposed to fight within a year, so we're a little bit past the deadline. I would say that after my debut in the PFL I will probably return to boxing. I will analyze the scenario and see who I can face”, he concluded.
