Just a few days before the long-awaited rematch against Belal Muhammad |, this time with the welterweight title (under 77,1kg) on the line, Leon edwards eliminates any fear of being cornered with the grappling talent presented by the rival. In the opinion of the current champion, the Palestinian does not have the credentials of Khabib Nurmagomedov in wrestling.
“He can try, but he won’t have much success. Everyone knows his game plan would be to go out and try grappling, but even his wrestling isn't all that, really. He’s not a fucking Khabib or a Georges St-Pierre, he’s just Belal,” Leon declared at a press conference for UFC 304.

Known for taking fights to the judges' decision with his dominance in grappling over opponents, Belal has had 10 duels without tasting defeat. In his last appearance, the Palestinian overcame Gilbert Durinho in combat that lasted 25 minutes. In every fight during his career in the UFC, Muhammad knocked out two opponents in 18 appearances.

Protagonists of the event, Leon and Belal face each other this Saturday (27), in Manchester, England. Current champion, Edwards is seen as a big favorite for the confrontation, in the organization's third title defense.
