Daniel Cormier questions Jon Jones' ability to beat Tom Aspinall: 'He's the best on the planet'

Jon Jones' biggest rival points to Aspinall as the best heavyweight in the world, but doesn't rule out 'Bones' chances

The first defense of the interim belt with a 'run over' Curtis blaydes in the co-main fight of UFC 304, last Saturday (27), in Manchester, England, fans' expectations in relation to a possible title unification against Jon Jones, which, in the opinion of Daniel Cormier, you may have difficulty dealing with the British.

In a recent edition of his podcast Good Guy/Bad Guy, Cormier, the biggest rival in his career, Jon Jones and current UFC commentator, pointed out Tom aspinall as the 'best heavyweight on the planet' and questioned, but made it clear not to doubt, 'Bones' ability to measure up against the interim champion.

“We're definitely looking at the best heavyweight on the planet, because I don't know if Jon Jones gonna beat this guy. I'm not going to get ahead of myself and say that Jon Jones is scared of him or that it's guaranteed that he would beat Jon, because I've been there with Jones. I know how tough he is, how smart he is and how much he loves to compete. If you love competing as much as this guy does, you can never be ruled out of a fight”, analyzed 'DC'.

The tendency, however, is that, if confirmed, the duel to unify the linear and interim heavyweight belts will take some time to come. This because Jon Jones should return to the octagon in November this year, in UFC 309, in New York, to face the former champion Stipe Miocic.
