Alex Poatán surprised when he fell Glover Teixeira in a behind-the-scenes joke. The scene, recorded on video and quickly viral on social media, demonstrates the significant evolution of the current UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) in the ground game, an area that the athlete has worked intensely on in recent years.

Since deciding to migrate from kickboxing to MMA, Poatan has found in Glover Teixeira a mentor and a friend. The Brazilian veteran was one of the first to believe in the young athlete's potential and helped him adapt to the new sport. Currently, Poatan trains at Teixeira's academy in the United States and counts on his friend as one of the biggest supporters of his career.
