Alex Poatan and Alexandre Pantoja compete for 'Fighter of the Year' award at the 'MMA Oscar'

This Tuesday morning (6), the nominees for the 'World MMA Awards 2024', the 'Oscar' of mixed martial arts, were announced. Light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg), Alex Poatán competes in the award's 'Fighter of the Year' category, just like the Brazilians Alexandre pantoja e Renan Problem. The other competitors are Islam makhachev e Dricus Du Plessis.

The 'Fighter of the Year' category also has a Brazilian among the competitors. PFL Champion, Larissa pacheco compete with Kayla harrison, Liz Carmouche, Rachel Pennington e Weili Zhang for the prize.

The 'World MMA Awards' evaluation window began on July 1, 2023 and lasted until June 30, 2024. voting takes place until September 30th and the date of the awards ceremony has yet to be announced.
