Scheduled for the biggest fight of his career to date, Caio Borralho faces Jared Cannonier on August 24, in the main event of the Las Vegas-based event. Undefeated in the UFC, the Brazilian analyzed the positive consequences that a possible victory over the fifth-placed player in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9kg) could bring to his career in the organization.

“(A win) definitely puts me as one of the favorites (for the title). I will have seven wins, today I have six straight wins in the UFC. I haven't lost a fight in nine years, since 2015. I have two more wins on the Contender Series, so that's eight straight wins in the organization. If I have a good knockout, a good submission in this fight, even if I just win in this fight; When you see Jared's record, it will take me to another level, to be the next challenger, maybe directly for the belt or maybe one more fight, it depends", declared Caio to Inside Fighting.
